About Maria Shaw
Experienced LTB Paralegal & Former Adjudicator
I assist clients with Landlord and Tenant Board matters across Ontario. My work is informed by professional experience as an LTB (Landlord and Tenant Board) Adjudicator, a Legal Aid Paralegal, and a Paralegal in independent practice.
My professional background includes experience as an LTB Adjudicator, where I gained direct insight into how landlord and tenant disputes are assessed, how evidence is weighed, and how procedural rules are applied in practice. This perspective informs my approach to helping clients prepare clear, organized materials and understand what the Landlord and Tenant Board expects at each stage of a proceeding.
I have also worked as a Legal Aid Paralegal, assisting individuals with a wide range of housing-related issues. This experience strengthened my ability to explain complex processes in a practical, accessible way, while remaining mindful of the real-world impact Landlord and Tenant Board decisions can have on both landlords and tenants.
